What type of pilates does Fit Culture offer?​

Fit Culture teaches athletic reformer Pilates, which is fusion of contemporary Pilates and high intensity fitness training.  Our reformer classes strengthen and tone the entire body and incorporate other fitness modalities including yoga and barre.

You are welcome to take any class, but we highly recommend taking Reformer L.I.T. first, especially if you are new to reformer Pilates. 

Yes! Our classes are appropriate for all fitness levels – no previous experience is required. However, we highly recommend taking Reformer L.I.T. as your first class experience.  Our instructors are movement specialists and are experts at guiding you through any modifications or adjustments you may need. The more your instructors get to know you, the more they can customize each workout to give you exactly what you need.

Classes are 45 minutes, unless otherwise specified. 

Wear comfortable clothes that you feel good in. We can give you the best form and alignment corrections when you are wearing tighter clothing. Grip Socks are required for all FC classes. Due to Covid regulations, masks are required in the studio and during classes.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first few classes. This will give you enough time to check in, meet your instructor and get a tour of equipment. 

If you have chronic back pain, are coming back from an injury or are pregnant, a one-on-one session with a Physiotherapist prior to attending a group class would be recommended.

No, packages and memberships are non-transferable and cannot be shared.

We recommend attending a 3-4 classes a week to see and feel results quickly. We do have clients who attend classes every day!

TORRANCE – COMING SOON 

Fit Culture workouts are generally appropriate for ages 15 and up. Private sessions can be made for younger children with an athletic background and heightened body awareness. A special waiver must be signed for minors, and an adult guardian must be present. 

You can attend our dynamic group Pilates classes up until you are 15 weeks along. After this however, due to the dynamic style of training you can no longer attend group classes. Always notify the instructor at each class. Any information received will be kept confidential and modifications for pregnancy will be delivered with the utmost discretion. A doctor’s approval is required for high risk pregnancies. 

Accounts/Booking

Yes. Our booking system requires each client to have their own account with a valid credit card on file. Each user must have a valid class credit or membership on their account prior to reserving a class.  

No. We do not accept exact cash as payment for class packages or paid-in-full memberships. The studio does not keep change on hand. We cannot accept cash or check for monthly membership subscriptions. All accounts must have a valid credit card stored on file for incidental studio charges such as water, retail items, cancellation fees, etc.

SAN PEDRO – FREE street parking is available in our shopping center parking lot. 

TORRANCE – on the street or in the free parking structor directly across from the studio.

Late Arrival Policy

NEW CLIENTS: To ensure the best workout experience for you, we suggest all new clients arrive a minimum of 10 minutes prior to class start time. We require all new clients to receive a proper introduction to the studio, the instructor and the equipment. For your safety, we cannot allow new clients to join class after 10 minutes into the workout and you forfeit the class. 

EXISTING CLIENTS: We recommend arriving at least 5 minutes prior to class start time. In the case that you arrive late to class, please understand that you will not be allowed to join after 10 minutes into the workout and you forfeit the class. 

Cancellation Policy

We have an 12-hour cancellation policy. You may cancel any class reservation at least 12-hours prior to class start time with no penalty and the class credit will be available for you to rebook. 

A class that is cancelled less than 12-hours prior to start time is considered a “Late Cancel” and will be forfeited (if booked using a class credit) or assessed a $20 fee (if booked using an Unlimited option). 

A class that is booked but not attended is considered a “No Show” and will be forfeited (if booked using a class credit) or assessed a $20 fee (if booked using an Unlimited option). 

If it is before 12 hours of the class start time, you can switch classes by cancelling the class you are enrolled in and booking a new class time. Same day or last-minute class swaps are still subject to our 12-hour cancellation window.

Step 2: Select “Schedule” to view your upcoming class reservations. Select “Cancel” next to the reservation you wish to cancel. If you have trouble cancelling a reservation please contact us via email at info@fitculturepilates.com  

Waitlist

If the class you want to take is full, we highly recommend adding yourself to the waitlist by choosing “Join Waitlist” on the booking schedule. 

You must have a valid class credit or membership in order to join a waitlist. 

The waitlist is active up until 12-hours prior to class start time. When a spot becomes available, you will AUTOMATICALLY be added to class. A notification e-mail (and/or text message if you’re opted in) will be sent to you.  

Once added to class, the reservation is automatically confirmed and subject to our 12-hour cancellation policy. 

IMPORTANT: If you are waitlisted for a morning class, chances are high that you will be added to class in the middle of the night. If you DO NOT want to be automatically added to class, please CANCEL your spot on the waitlist prior to going to sleep.
